Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 September 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
The Vela service (“Vela”, “the Service”) is operated by Wael Delacroix, a sole trader (entreprise individuelle — micro-entreprise) registered under SIREN 130343411, whose registered office is at 4 rue Jean Gaspard Vence, 13002 Marseille, France (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms.
2. What the Service does
Vela lets you demonstrate a task once inside a website you already have access to, records the network traffic that task produces, and generates a hosted HTTPS endpoint (“a connector”) that reproduces it. Connectors run on our infrastructure and are called by you or by systems you control.
3. Your accounts on third-party sites — the important one
You are solely responsible for the credentials and accounts you connect. By connecting an account you confirm that:
- the account is yours, or you are authorised by its owner to use it in this way;
- using it through automated means does not breach the terms of that third-party site;
- you have any consent required to process the personal data the connector will touch.
We do not verify any of this, and we cannot. If a third-party provider objects to, rate-limits or terminates your access, that is a matter between you and them. Vela does not attempt to bypass CAPTCHAs, bot detection or technical access controls, and we may refuse or remove a connector that would require it.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access;
- collect personal data without a lawful basis, or resell scraped personal data;
- send unsolicited messages, or take actions on behalf of people who have not consented;
- place load on a third-party site beyond what its terms permit;
- circumvent security measures, or attempt to reach our own internal infrastructure.
We may suspend an account immediately where we reasonably believe this section is being breached.
5. Fees, billing and overage
Pricing is per active connector per calendar month — a connector that ran at least one execution you requested. A connector you built but did not use is not billed. A monthly minimum of €20 applies once a paid subscription starts. Each active connector includes 10,000 executions dedicated to that specific connector; unused executions do not transfer between connectors. Executions beyond the included quota are billed at €0.50 per 1,000.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in euros, taxes included. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged (“TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI”); should that change, VAT will be added and shown at checkout before you pay. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal, taking effect at the end of the current period. We do not refund part-months except where required by law. We may change prices on 30 days’ notice.
6. Trial
The trial gives one connector, two build projects and 10,000 executions for 30 days, without a card. At the end of the trial your connectors stop executing but are not deleted: the connector, its captured evidence and its stored session are kept for a further 30 days, so subscribing within that window resumes exactly where you stopped. After 30 days of inactivity on an expired trial we may delete them; we will email you before we do.
7. Availability, and what we do not promise
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided as is, without any warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Specifically, connectors depend on third-party websites we do not control: a target may change, restrict access or go offline at any time, and a connector may stop working as a result. Our automated repair reduces this but cannot eliminate it. Nothing here is a service-level commitment unless you have bought one in writing.
8. Write actions
Connectors can take real actions — creating bookings, records or messages — in the systems you connect. You are responsible for what your connectors do. We provide idempotency keys and dry-run validation to reduce the risk of duplicate or unintended writes, but you must test a connector before putting it into production and monitor what it does afterwards.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or losses resulting from actions your connectors took. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.
10. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Service. You retain all rights in your data, your credentials and the connectors generated for your account. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, run, repair and support those connectors.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time; deletion of your connectors, captured traffic and stored sessions follows the Privacy Policy. We may terminate for material breach of these terms, for non-payment after notice, or where continuing would expose us to legal risk.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law, and the courts of Marseille, France have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
